Changes to the 16–19 Bursary Application Process
Dear Students, Parents and Carers,
Following a review of the Department for Education's guidance for the 16–19 Bursary Fund, we are introducing a revised application process to ensure bursary funding is awarded fairly and in line with national requirements.
From now on, all students applying for bursary funding will be required to submit a Bursary Bid Form alongside their application. The form will ask students to provide details of the support they require and the estimated costs involved.
This information will help us assess each student's individual needs and ensure that bursary funding is used to support genuine education-related expenses such as travel, equipment, books and other essential course costs.
To apply for bursary funding, students must submit:
- A completed bursary application form.
- Supporting evidence of eligibility and/or household income.
- A completed Bursary Bid Form outlining the support required and estimated costs.
Please note that applications cannot be processed until all required documentation has been received.
