Sixth Form Open Evening Success

As is the case every year, term 1 started like a whirlwind and gathered pace towards the end, culminating with one of our most anticipated and exciting events of the year: sixth form open evening.

We were delighted to welcome 210 families this year, an increase from 181 from the previous year. The evening provided prospective students and their parents an opportunity to explore the 20+ courses on offer at KS5. Mrs Linney-Drouet and Mr Sutton delivered the more formal presentations, ably supported by Head Girl Rhiannon Roe, and Deputies, Olivia Hodson and Adam Amine Piekos.

We were thrilled with the number of New Line Learning students in attendance, and thankful for the support of Mr Murphy and his leadership team from NLL; their presence helped create a truly inclusive and collaborative feel to such an important trust event.

Departments were as enthusiastic as always about their subject offers, and dare I say slightly competitive with just how many year 11s registered their interest on their respective sign-up sheets... it looks to be a close-run between English and Psychology, with honourable mentions to Sociology and Vocational departments also. It was fantastic to host our partners from the National Citizenship Service and Maidstone United FC, promoting the enrichment opportunities available through the Trust Sixth Form.

We are very much looking forward to inviting all prospective applicants to our subject taster sessions on the 19th December.
