Students Celebrate GCSE Results Success
Cornwallis Academy celebrates continued progress in outcomes.
It is a testament to the hard work of our students, parents and staff that Cornwallis Academy is celebrating another significant rise in this academic year’s GCSE examination results.
Over half of students achieved a Grade 4 or above in both English and Mathematics, which is a considerable 8% increase on last year’s results.
71% of students were awarded a Grade 4 or above in English and 55% achieved a Grade 4 or above in Mathematics.
Our more able students performed particularly well with a 12% increase in those achieving five 9 to 5 grades including English and Mathematics.
As well as an increase in all of the core subjects, results from individual subjects show a strong performance in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Drama and Food Technology with 100% grades 9-4.
