Adverse Weather Protocols

With the weather turning cold we want to remind you of our adverse weather policy.

We will of course make every effort to keep the school open with our site team clearing and gritting the car park in the event of snow or icy conditions.

In the event of adverse weather and the school has to close, we will contact you via Email; we will post a closure notice on our website (www.cornwallisacademy.com) and social media sites (Twitter: twitter.com/cws_academy and Instagram: www.instagram.com/cornwallisacademy); change the school status to closed on the Kent Closure website (www.kentclosures.co.uk) and we will also contact KMFM, Heart and BBC Radio Kent.

We will aim to announce this as early as possible in the morning.

Register for alerts on Kent Closures:
