A-Level Results Success

The Sixth Form at Cornwallis Academy is delighted to announce another improvement in this year’s A Level examination results.

120 students sat level three qualifications, with 60% achieving A*-C at A level or equivalent. Overall, students achieved a pass rate of 94%.

Mr Sutton, Director of Sixth Form, commented: “We are thrilled with these outcomes as they reflect the collaborative efforts of students, parents and staff. We wish all of our Year 13 leavers every success for the future.”

Notable success stories include: Sasha King (A*,A,B,B), Bradley Smith (A,A,B) Reece Winter (A,B,B) Victoria Amundsen (A,D*,B).

Bradley Smith achieved A, A, B and is off to study sports and exercise science at university having been offered a place at Loughborough.

Charlotte Stringer achieved A*, A, B and will be studying midwifery.

 

Stacey Wright achieved B, B, C in Maths, Biology and Chemistry and is off to study veterinary nursing in September.
Having achieved 100% in his A level mechanics paper and A, B, B overall including Maths, Physics and Design technology, Reece Winter is considering offers from Loughborough and Kent universities to study Mechatronics and Engineering.

It was also a family event with twins Sophie and Lucie Nicola picking up their results, both performing exceptionally well with one A, two Bs and two Cs between them.

They are considering university options to study Media and Sociology.
