Chef Masterclass by Simon Gray
Cornwallis Academy was visited by Chef Simon Gray to provide our Year 10 cooking students a masterclass session in jointing and cooking main courses using locally sourced pheasant.
Simon Gray has over 30 years of experience within the Hospitality and Catering industry. Simon regularly visits schools to teach young people how to properly prepare and cook main course meals.
The sessions consisted of students learning how to joint and cook a pheasant - educating Year 10 on the correct techniques to use whilst jointing and preparing food.
This was in preparation for their three hour practical exam next year when students will put everything they have learnt into action.
