GCSE Successes

At Cornwallis Academy we are thrilled to celebrate the successes of our Year 11 students after another significant increase in progress and attainment.

This continued improvement echoes our SMILE ethos and demonstrates what can be achieved when parents, teachers and students work together.

63% of all grades achieved were 4 or above with 10% of all grades an 8 or 9. This is a record number of grades 8 and 9.

We are particularly proud of our 10% increase in those achieving five or more grade 9 to 5 including English and Mathematics.

Over 60% of students achieved a grade 4 or above in both English and Mathematics, which is a considerable 10% increase on last year’s results.

82% of students were awarded a grade 4 or above in English and 67% achieved a grade 4 or above in Mathematics. An amazing 62% of students achieved a grade 5+ in English.

Headteacher Mrs Linney-Drouet said “I am extremely proud of all our students and staff for their hard work and dedication”
