In Media Studies, at both GCSE and A level, students are given exciting opportunities to study various aspects of the media. We study a range of texts from television, magazines, music video, advertising, radio, websites, newspapers and video games. Whilst much of the focus is on analysing and de-constructing how these media platforms are put together through examined units, students will also get the chance to create their own media products in the coursework element of the course.
Media Studies allows students to develop an important, critical understanding of various aspects of an industry which has increasingly becoming a vital part of our everyday lives, making the subject more relevant than ever.
