Getting to the Academy

Our two main bus companies, Arriva and Nu-Venture both stop at the Academy for the morning drop off and afternoon collection.

The Cost

The Young person's travel pass is the most cost effective way to budget your travel for the year. A full year’s travel (365 days, not just school days) costs £200 for students in Years 7 to 11 and is available through KCC. Students eligible for Free School Meals can get the same pass for £100 a year.

From April 29th 2018 Arriva will be making the following changes to their ticket prices in the Maidstone and Malling areas: 

Most Single Fairs will increase by 10p

Return Fairs will also increase (No specific change in price has been mentioned by Arriva) 

Day Savers will now cost £5.40

Weekly Saver price will remain at £21

4-Weekly Saver will now cost £68

 

Dear Parent/Guardian

The Home to School Transport (T1 form) and Young Person’s Travel Pass guidance and application forms for 2018/19 are available online. 

Applications for the new academic year can be made from 4th June. To be sure the pass is ready to collect from the academy on the first day of term, please ensure you have applied for it by Friday 13th July.
